Hi, I’m Heidi – welcome to Serendipity House!

In 2016 I decided to leave the corporate world behind and open a shop where I could pursue my passions for gifting, home interiors and clothing (I’m a self-confessed shopaholic!).

I wanted to create a retail space where everyone feels welcome. A space for a truly personal, enjoyable shopping experience. A place where people care about the gift you’re looking for and the person receiving it.

Our ethos is one of love and kindness. Our objective is to always offer quality gifts, accessories, interiors and clothing every time you shop with us. I personally choose everything we sell and always with our customers in mind.

In late 2016 my dream came true and Serendipity House was born on Kirkham high street. Kirkham is a wonderful market town in Lancashire with a fantastic community. This is why we picked this special place as our home. We love it and have never looked back!

I’ve always been one to stand out from the crowd and I’m pleased to say our beautiful shop is the same! Everybody knows our distinctive “Heidi cream” signage and we’re really happy we’ve been able to preserve and maintain the original shop windows.

Serendipity House has been a family business from the start. Not only myself and my husband Chris, but our fabulous wider family, friends and customers. Their loyalty and support is nothing short of amazing and we are truly grateful for it.

We appreciate every sale and every time you choose to shop with our small business over the high street and online retail giants. We take it personally and will always treat you with kindness and respect as you do to us.

We gift wrap all purchases for free with our distinctive ribbons and packaging. Not forgetting our extra special touches: Love Hearts and the famous Serendipity feather. I’m meticulous about this part of our customer journey and train all my staff to my exact standards.

We are constantly looking at we ways can develop and grow and offer you the best products and customer experience. All feedback is very welcome. We want our shop to be your happy place and to be around for many years to come.
